jaimeb19515 Do you have any one piece swimsuits for swim practices, and I have a swim related question but do you wear your suits under clothes while driving to your meets or practices eliminating having to change, just jump into warmups, just curious what other swimmers do and if it works.

ciarascamby @jaimeb19515 hey! I have one suit from Jolyn listed in my closet (Size 34). And yes, I do wear my suit under clothes on the way to meets and practice! I’m a diver, but I know that most swimmers do that as well to eliminate the need to change upon arrival😊 hope that helps!

jaimeb19515 @ciarascamby oh ok, I just started swimming so want to know what other swimmers do for there routines and what works, do you normally just drive back home in the suit after practice or meets and change/shower once there making it easier how do you prevent the car seats from getting wet too.

ciarascamby @jaimeb19515 before covid-19 I would shower & get changed in the locker room at my pool then drive home, but since they are now closed I drive home in my suit! I think it depends- some ppl like to change so they aren’t uncomfortable in a wet suit on the ride home but others just go right home in their suit and shower/change there. I personally just put my towel on the seat to prevent it from getting wet!

jaimeb19515 @ciarascamby Isn’t it uncomfortable though after awhile or just don’t even really notice when your driving in a suit I haven’t figured out what works best for me routine wise, like tie backs for instance sometimes you’re like leaning on the knot and that kind of hurts after a while but with other brand suits i mean it’s like fine, if I had to wear one in the car like I wouldn’t mind it I just don’t know what’s easier and with covid it’s hard right now

ciarascamby @jaimeb19515 I honestly don’t notice the wet suit too much while driving, and usually just throw a sweatshirt on so I don’t get too cold! I know what you’re talking about with the tie backs- I personally don’t wear that type because fixed back suits are better for diving, but you could always just untie once you’re in the car so it doesn’t hurt your back when you lean into the seat!

jaimeb19515 @ciarascamby yeah, I’d rather at least have a sweatshirt over now ,but during summer I did training and triathlons before my swim season started and after each event I was just to lazy or to tired to change, so the thought of just leaving in my suit and driving home in it would’ve been easier, but at the same time I didn’t wanna get any weird looks or stares in a one piece haha some guys are creeps.

ciarascamby @jaimeb19515 hahaha yeah I totally get that! I just walk to my car with my towel around my waist then put it on the seat for the drive home. Most swimmers/divers now are doing the same or getting changed in a bathroom because locker rooms at most pools are closed due to corona!
