larja76 Thanks for the quick response! So how do I lock the poles in place when extended? I opened it up all the way, but the bottom keeps falling open to expose the cord every time I lift up on the pole- to take a step forward. It’s like it doesn’t stay securely fastened- so the poles become unusable when moving forward. I’m hoping there is someway that I’m just unaware of to lock it when extended, because these poles are super rare to come by.

cmbecker99 @larja76 you should hear an audible click when the button locks the shafts together. Maybe you just haven’t extended far enough?

larja76 I extended them all the way and the locking sound happens but the bottom of the pole still slips out from the middle section when lifting up to dig in a stride. I’m really at a loss. What can be done? Really wanted these to work.

cmbecker99 @larja76 I’m sorry I don’t know what the problem could be! I promise I never had any troubles with them the few times I used them. Maybe contact Salomon directly? They’ve alway last had excellent customer service for me.

cmbecker99 @trailrunner23 I didn't end up using them that much for trail running, but now I'm thinking of hanging onto them for backpacking. What is the highest you would go? I may reconsider
