Meet your Posher, Connie

Hi! I'm Connie, and this handsome fur-baby is ‘Landon’ (aka ‘Landino’). Sadly, Landon passed away in late 2020 at about 14 years old. I miss him very much, but I find comfort in having been part of his amazing life (which indeed it was). I first met Landon in an animal shelter. He ended up there after being hit by a car, abandoned, and eventually taken to an animal emergency center for treatment. His injuries included a broken hip, severe bruising, and ‘de-gloving’ on all four legs. When I met him, he was all bandaged up and very sad and scared. As a Sheltie Rescue volunteer, I rescued Landon from the shelter and fostered him, knowing inside that I would likely keep him for myself (which of course, I did). It took Landon over a year (including major hip surgery) to recover. At that time, he was healthy enough to walk the runway in a star-studded benefit fashion show for rescue dogs held in Los Angeles. The event received a lot of media attention across the world, and ended up being the beginning of Landon's modeling 'career', as well as his launch into other areas, including animal-assisted therapy; ambassadorship with health and business organizations; book deals; and even acting/music videos. Landon lived an amazing and inspirational life, and I miss him every day.
