michellew915 Hi, Corina! I saw your question on your updated rating, but couldn’t reply to it. Hopefully this works. So sorry to hear you’re having a reaction to the eye cream. I got both items from my Trendmood Box-Volume 13 in early November (2021).

michellew915 I don’t think they would have sent a bad product though; there is likely an ingredient in the eye cream itself that you have an allergy to. I myself try to avoid any products with retinol, salicylic acid, and fragrance because they’ve caused skin irritation in the past, while other people have had amazing results with the same products. 😫

michellew915 I found this info on the Kinship website that may also be helpful- With any new skincare regimen, the skin may go through a purging process. Developing small bumps can happen as dirt + oil are pulled from pores, and skin is exfoliated and detoxified. These bumps typically subside within 3-4 days and should not be a concern.

cdymerets @michellew915 I really really appreciate your detailed response!! I don’t think they would have sent a bad product either, I’m sure you’re right and I’m just having a reaction to one of the ingredients. It scared me because I’ve never had this type of a reaction. I’ve washed my face a few times and used aloe and the redness and burning seems to be going down. Thank you so so much for your detailed and quick response!!

michellew915 @cdymerets You’re most welcome! I can definitely relate to your concern. I learned all about skin reactions a few years ago when I had BLISTERING side effects from StriVectin around my eyes and eyelids. It was ugly, itchy, and painful. I swore them off until an esthetician told me that it wasn’t Strivectin, it was the retinol and lactic acid in the cream. 😕

cdymerets @michellew915 oh no that sounds really painful! It’s so scary when it’s near your eyes too! This one does actually have lactic acid in it. I should probably just start doing patch tests with new skincare products just to be safe!

michellew915 @cdymerets Great idea! I do that and I slowly introduce new products (small amounts every few days, then build up once I’m comfortable). If you got the pimple potion in your eye area, that may be it too. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I use the Cosrx patches or toothpaste when I have surprise pimples. 😂
