She returned it and I apologized for what happened. What I never thought of till this moment is that I could send the right jacket!I did send her a letter to explain better and told her I have it if she wants it. I’m so new to this, what should I have done?

If I had sent the wrong jacket I would have apologized like you did, and let her return it. I'm not sure but I think in that situation you might've been able to send her the correct jacket without cancelling the sale, I've heard of people doing that.
