ursulascottllc @editor_brown I saw that quake in the news a while back! It wasn’t long after the big 7.2 in Anchorage on30 Nov. THAT was “exciting.” I love the Knoxville area and want to retire there. Went to Blackberry Farm on vacation and fell in love. I visited in Nov to scout it some. I like the rural areas north of town, the lake area west of the airport, and maryville. Hoping to visit again this fall for more scouting. A mountain cabin is also an idea. You don’t happen to know a good realtor do you?

Totally go if you ever have the opportunity. A faith-based tour is hectic, but a good way to see the major sites efficiently. If I go again, I will do a smaller tour focused in the Galilee. Jerusalem is awesome, but also crowded!

martyissupa @poshclark449 ahhh! Great memories of beautiful, meaningful places! My daughter spent 6 wks there traveling all over the country with a dance company performing for the High Holy Days. I have fantastic images of some sites . It was crowded though , more than I expected. My favorite were Haifa, Tel Aviv and Akko .

marveylust I have 3 girls born ‘77-‘80 then boy/girl ‘90-‘91. The first group are traditional and I saw the 2nd 2 “radicalized” in school. Last few years our family has had its only “conflicts”. Now their Uncle Alan (my bro) was killed in OKC 4-19-95. He was SS with Pres Clinton. 1 of 3 leaders on his detail. Even with this event (our son is FBI, daughters Dr., MD Social Service Admin., Educators all with Masters) this political climate could have damaged us had we allowed.

ursulascottllc @marveylust I remember learning how to think critically in college, how to evaluate the credibility of authors and sources, and how to construct a position with logic and supporting references. Our society isn’t interested in that anymore. No one can read anything longer than 144 characters.

marveylust @poshclark449 I feel that the pendulum is close to as far as it can swing and the result will be a generation of reaping that will cause it to swing back. There is that hope. Our 12 grandkids range from 21yrs to “due” In April. I believe they will see what was forfeited in trying to accommodate the “unmotivated”.

marveylust @poshclark449 auto correct is the only way my younger grands can “write”. I grew up mid ‘50’s -70’s and my parents told us that 5% of the population pull the weight. I was a “Peace Corp, Women’s Libbing” rebel and I’ve seen lots of positive change but I’ve also seen that to make those strides, the “baby was thrown out with the bath water”. That said, I have hope🌟 education has to recover!
