nataliepeace @qclayton I was just curious if you knew if LV offered a service to professionally clean bags or if you have ever tried to clean yourself. I would like to make a little investment but am a little nervous if I would mess it up by cleaning.

qclayton @nataliepeace Oh ok sure. I’m not sure if Louis Vuitton actually offers a cleaning service, however there are several companies that will clean bags for you. There is actually someone here on posh that cleans bags, and makes them look new. You should search her out.

qclayton @nataliepeace you can also clean the bags yourself, with traditional leather cleaner. You just have to be careful not to rub too hard and do it in sessions, instead of trying to lift all the stains at one time.

3dsmom Hello, I love your closet. I’m looking for a small speedy or a pochette with the crossbody strap, just wondering if you have anything for between $150 - 175. It will be my first Louis. Please let me know if you have anything. Also I found a speedy at a consignment store but I’m not sure if it’s authentic. If I post some pictures would you give me your opinion?

qclayton @3dsmom I don’t think it is authentic, because the cord that outlines the bag is very light , and not patinaed like the rest of the leather. It should be made of the vachette leather as well and should darken with the rest of the leather.

3dsmom @qclayton i think that was the flash of my phone. It looked like the rest of the bag. I was concerned with there not being a date code, the lining ( she said that had been replaced). And the zipper pull. How did those things look to you?

qclayton @3dsmom OK, if the cord that outlines the bag is the same color, then it could be authentic. That is really the only thing that stood out to me, the lining can be replaced and is usually replaced by Louis Vuitton, when that happens you do lose the date code. One more thing you can look at, is he pattern on the bag, it should have a green tint to it.

qclayton @3dsmom i’ve seen a zipper pull like this on very old pieces, they’re very hard to find now. Also the stitching looks very even, and that’s very indicative of authentic Louis Vuitton. Count the stitching there should be the same number of stitches on each side. Also keep in mind that everything should be uniform and centered on authentic pieces.

merri895 Hi I’m so sorry but I believed that they were men’s shorts my sons hasn’t worn boys shorts in a few years now. Plus they are sized differently for boys they go by numbers in Nike. If you are unhappy with them I will accept them back & you wont be charged so please let me know how you would like to proceed. I am sorry they aren’t what you thought .
