aleitalaird875 @chills29 Thanks, Cynthia, I sure know what you mean as I was a clothes fanatic for many years so my closet is a combination of downsizing and purchasing more up to date stuff thru Thrifting and Market Place ( a new obssession🤩). Great fun but a lot of work if you are serious about it as a business.

chills29 @aleitalaird875 I just started my holidays today and my plan is to purge my dressing room, far to many trips to Holts and various boutiques lol - and far too much money spent on lovely things I'll never wear (no more size 0 or 2 since the lockdowns). Love the idea of repurposing clothing! I love looking at what others are selling - I think I've found my new passion lol! This certainly is a lot of work though - my dressing room looks like a disaster and I've only listed a few things ;)

chills29 @aleitalaird875 Lol, yes so easy to do! I've tried taking pics in the living room, master bath, dressing room, foyer just to find the right lighting and then being disappointed because pics don't do certain pieces justice! I'm mortified at how much I've bought over the years yikes!!! Oh well, hoping that they'll all find good homes :) It really is exciting though! I'm still trying to wrap my head around how all of this works though... Hopefully my house will survive me and my picture taking

Some things that have helped me: Photo Room Pro (amazing, whites out any background in your picture); Google Lens, download for free, you can find stock photos buy focusing on your item and downloading it into your photo area; Buy a Manakin stand from Amazon; Buy a hand held steamer to steam wrinkle out of your clothes; buy large see thru buckets with lids to store your items making sure that you name each bucket with a label ie. Athletic Wear, Jackets, Blouses, Dress, etc.

chills29 @aleitalaird875 Omg, Aleita you're so kind! Wonderful advice! I'll buy containers tomorrow! I'll look into the apps you've suggested as well! I'll devote a few days next week to listing more items (who knew it would be this much work lol). I'm kicking myself though because a while ago when my dressing room was being designed I threw out shoe boxes because I wanted to display my shoes (sadly many of them I've only worn once if ever). I've tried to stay away from FB since I work in education and a number of years ago I disabled my account. I will check out YouTube though and maybe it's time I create a new FB profile. Difficult to let go of certain pieces as they hold memories. However, it is rewarding to gain more space in the walk in closet. Time for someone else to enjoy! You have great pieces to sell. I'm wrestling with parting with some of my handbags now, as you said earlier things hold memories... maybe time for someone else to have new and wonderful memories with them though! chills29 @cd2clothes OMG - yessssss!!! Shopping from the couch has been super dangerous lol!!! Last year during the first lockdown I ordered 12 dresses in one day from H&M which I'll for sure never ever wear but it was just fun to just keep clicking away!! I lose interest in things wayyyy too quickly to be normal that's for sure! Wonder if there's such a thing as Shopaholics Anonymous? Not ready to join yet but it might be something that I'll have to eventually look into lol!!!
