Hi and thank you for the rating of the snowsuit. Not sure what the smell was, I washed both the coat and snow pants prior to shipping and we are a nonsmoking home. I apologize for that. Rest assured that you can toss the set in the washer and dryer though. I did it all last winter and it was fine. Have a great week 😊
