Hi Danielle, Thanks so much for your 5* review. For the Bracelet, it does it automatically, as there’s a spring in the main bead compartment that pushes down on the braid. It stays put when it’s on, with it being smooth leather, it’s quite easy to pull, as there isn’t really a grip (as in a hook) on the bracelet. My daughter (also named Danielle 🙂) was just careful that she wasn’t doing sports or running with it on. Hope that helps?
