chainmailweaver Hi Dean.I am the seller you purchased the Varsity Jacket from.I just wanted to reassure you that the sleeves are genuine leather.I worked very closely with this company when designing the jacket.There are treatment formulas used to eliminate the "new leather" smell,but it in no way degrades the leather.I originally paid much more for the coat than what I sold it for.I can promise you,this coat is exactly as advertised.I would rather not sell anything than to take advantage of any buyer.
