wereveryloud @samslizzy I had to take one of my rescue "pups" to emergency care for a stick or branch he got wedged in-between back teeth, across roof of his mouth.

wereveryloud @samslizzy it was. Could not see it in his mouth but he kept coming to me to help him. I was in tears because I looked all thru his mouth teeth & gums & found nothing. Took him to Mount Airy Animal Hospital, they don't keep overnights( open) but Thank God our Vet was still there. He did not see it,then said "I found something" &showed me. It was so far back on the roof of his mouth, & was stuck into gums at each side.He was able to remove it w/o sedating him & decided to put him on antibiotics

wereveryloud @samslizzy thanks so much. We are hoping the antibiotics will take care of any infection & because he is young, the "gums" skin will grow back over where the punctures were. They were deep.

wereveryloud Funny, I grew up in DC & Montgomery County. Went to Churchill HS, a lifetime ago! Mount Airy is so quiet & nice & open. I spent a lot of time in Bethesda for years!
