Thank you for the heads up on the LV. The font didn't seem right but since LV is new to me I figured let poshmark concierge do it's magic. There is so many fakes out there on poshmark and eBay even if I compare photos...I'm comparing to fakes. Very frustrating. Thank you again for looking out for other poshers.

@tw0sh0es You’re so welcome. Lately there are so many fakes being passed off as authentic on PM & it is so frustrating. Not only is it prohibited but it is NOT okay for unsuspecting buyers. The sad part is they price it right under the $500 so they can get away with it or the “sold” items are never sent because the amount is over $500. A simple “how to spot a fake Louis Vuitton” in google is a great start in learning about the bags. 😊

@denbla Yes, I've been doing a lot of reading on LV and it's a brand I'm discovering that has many replicas circulating... Along with Chanel! It's tough as I bought 99% of my handbags at the store and second hand is a whole new ball game I need to learn about. Thanks again ❤️👍👌

$4725 for $500 makes it even more comical. Not to mention your pictures look awfully close to the ones in the link I posted. Nonetheless, your response doesn’t surprise me. The only thing that will is if you actually send the bag.

@denbla I had another seller block me for asking a question on authenticity on a Chanel promo bag. Just for that! I wrote to poshmark but they said it was under 500 and gifts are a whole different thing. How does one authenticate gift promos?

So, that’s what I was thinking. lol Yeah, that’s a hard one & that’s the issue with PM. There are so many people to monitor & even when your report someone selling replicas or doing transactions off the site it can take forever for them to look into it.

Tradesy & Fashionphile are good too because the seller actually sends the bags to them & they sell them on their behalf. And, I forgot to mention that fb has a Chanel Addicted page too!

@dangstafied It truly is sad. I’ve reported her too & I will continue to report her each time she list a new item. I do know that she was shut down yesterday which I am sure was after Sunday’s comments & reporting but she’s back again today. So, I’m not sure how Poshmark regulates it. I mean if you read her comments & see the sold history it’s pretty obvious. I just hope that they do shut her down for good soon.

Hello. I was shopping for LV bag and read your post calling it fake and that brought me here to seek advice. I bought a bucket bag several weeks ago on PM and the lining is sticky, peeling, really gross and I haven’t been able to use it. The seller said it was not sticky when asked. Do you have any advice on fixing this (the lining that is, I’m keeping the bag) I can’t bring myself to cut out the lining just yet. Any ideas you have would be appreciated. Thx.

@keleighs_kloset Uggh stickiness! lol It’s very common in bags that use Vuittonite (vinyl-like material) for the interior lining & in pockets. There’s some DIY things you can do in hopes to save it from re-lining. You can use baby powder but it’s only temporary. Nail polish remover w/ acetone works to remove the vuittonite and leave a fabric lining. But, be prepared as takes a lot of time & patience. It will definitely be a project but will be rewarding if you don’t have to cut the lining out. 😊

She purchased it off PM & sure enough she was scammed. I felt so bad. I’m with you about the replicas just call it what it is. @momaddi I’m so with you on the irritation. Poshmark prohibits replicas for a reason. They’re illegal. If you’re going to sell them at least be honest about it. At least do some part of right in the situation. I always feel bad for unsuspecting buyers. More & more Poshmark is becoming the place to be for dishonest sellers. 😡

@sineya4424 I was blocked by the seller. The first red flag is the price. This is a highly sought after piece and retails for $1,020 on the LV website. Besides that this bag is nowhere near the craftsmanship of a LV. The heat stamp font is off. Most noticeably the R in Paris. Also the date code tag is too big & the letters/numbers are facing the wrong direction. @violetmanuel

@jocelyn1690 Yes, unfortunately it is. You can definitely cancel it. Sorry this was your first purchase. Don’t let it deter you. All items over $500 are authenticated by Poshmark. Just be leery of items that retail for over 1,000 & are selling for that amount. That’s a big red flag. I’m glad I could help. I’m an Authenticator & I hate seeing unsuspecting buyers scammed.

As a seller, you may cancel an order before it is shipped.On the app:
Step 1: Click on your Account Tab
Step 2: Select My Sale
Step 3: Select Problems/Order Inquiry
Step 4: Select Cancel Order
Step 5: Select reason for cancellation to cancel the order.
Please keep in mind that if you cancel the order without a buyer’s request, it causes a huge inconvenience to the buyer and should not be done except under rare circumstances.

@jocelyn1690 You only have a 3 hour window to cancel which has passed. Yes, you can request the seller to cancel it. You can simply tell her that you had the bag authenticated via the pictures & it’s not authentic. If the seller refuses to cancel & ships it you can open a case when you receive it because it’s not as described (authentic).

@zeina123 I’m not confused at all. There is no bundle discount. Louis Vuitton never puts their items on sale so if you’re buying “multiples” then you are losing $600 on each one you sell. Which doesn’t make sense & questions your listing for authenticity.

@jocelyn1690 Sorry for my delay in response as it’s been a busy day. Unfortunately the Speedy is not authentic. The stitching is off on the handle tabs. It should have 5 stitches across the top/ bottom & 4 up the sides. I can’t see the top because of the handle but it has 7 across the bottom & 5 up the sides. Also, the heat stamp font is off & the V stitching above it is not clean & sharp.

@cptl62 Actually right now all we can do is report it as a replica. It takes time but eventually Poshmark removes it and sometimes goes as far as suspending the closet. The amount of dishonest sellers & replicas on here is getting ridiculous. 😡

@jov123 You followed the 4 steps? It should because it’s been less than 3 hours. I don’t know why it didn’t?? So, that leaves you with two options. You can ask the seller to cancel the sale. I’m sure he will because he doesn’t have a bag to send. I’m sure if I didn’t comment he would have commented on your post with a number to text. Or, you can wait and after 7 days you will be refunded on the 8th.

Hi Denise, thank you for confirming my suspicions about that Neverfull Damier bag. Just within the last 5 days this one posher has used at least 4 or 5 different usernames trying to sell 3 different Neverfull bags. It’s ridiculous and annoying. Need to make shopping on Posh enjoyable and safe for everyone.

@jov123 Sadly they are out of control on here. More then likely Posh suspended the account which just means they’ll make a new one or another scammer will take their place. I’m also a LV authenticator for a reputable company & lose count on the amount of replicas I see listed daily as authentic. Just another way to scam because they price them right under $500. I’m so glad Posh refunded you!

@joyamber2 Yes, they are websites & I believe they both have apps. I’ve not sold on either one but I do believe that it’s similar to Posh were you list it & they take a percentage. I’m not sure if you are on Facebook but they have a couple of LV buy/sell groups with lots of members. The nice thing about them is you list it & do everything via 🅿️ay🅿️al so you only pay their fees. No other.

@joyamber2 If you sell on your own... Like EBay or on one of the FB groups you do not have to pay a fee to them. The only fee you pay is the 10% to 🅿️🅿️. You also add shipping in your price so it’s covered. There is no minimum or maximum on any of those sites. You can charge what you want. Of course, you want to be comparable to other Batignolles which I think you are.

@hillmill61 I’m sorry that you were mislead. The handles are not vachetta leather. This is most noticeable in the first picture. You can see the cracks. The stitching is also not clean and consistent. Lastly, the interior lining in the Speedy is brown canvas. Again, I’m sorry you were misled. I hope you didn’t spend too much.

@hillmill61 I can’t tell because there’s only one pic of the side but one thing to look for with the Speedy is the bag is made with a continuous piece of monogram canvas. So, one side of the bag should have upside down LVs. Also, the trim glaze on the starts is something to look at too. It should be very clean and not like it is running.

@g_kickz Authentic means real. In the case of LV it would mean that it was made at one of their factories and sold in their store. I’ve been authenticating for a while now but the easiest way to learn is to first educate yourself on their collections and patterns. Also, for basic 101 tips google “how to spot a fake Louis Vuitton”. There are many good sites. Heat stamps and date codes are a big thing to learn too as well as craftsmanship details.
