texaslariat @leviya My profile picture is the gilding on an antique singer sewing machine. I liked the design, and that was the best photo I could get due to the placement. I recently found out that decals are used when the gilding needs to be replaced, so I am going to try to use one for a better picture. When is your 50% off sale? I would love to shop it!

vintage2classic OMG, I should have realized. I collect and restore vintage sewing machines, especially Singer. I have around 18 sewing machines ( I am not the only one like this, it is a thing, some kind of bug you catch). Do you sew?! My sale is listed on one of my top listings. And yes you can actually purchase the decals as some restorers paint the machines and add new decals. Cool!

texaslariat Yes I sew, not necessarily "properly", but well enough for costumes, curtains, etc. 18 machines! Wow! I happened to have just picked this one up today after servicing. I can see how that would be a bug, the man who worked on mine had a beautiful collection in his shop. I have a machine sitting in my cousin's garage in Texas that I would like to bring out here, but not a singer. I believe it has a treadle though. A collection is starting!

I had a Burberry scarf that got washed and felted so I made better use out of it. Are you acting (costumes)?

texaslariat @leviya Still feel like a Texan, but in California for many years now. The costumes were mostly for my children, but the youngest started college this fall. Hence the posh time. I will look for the booties, what a good idea. I really should start sewing more, I always really enjoyed that. Now that my mother-in-law's machine is working well, it should be used!

texaslariat @vicky_ymcagirl That's the BEST compliment! I just finished up vacation, and what a nice thing to come "home" to! And thank for the welcomes @exwolfe, @angelbritton, @creative2, and @croweart. I know I still have a lot to learn, I am trying to get more familiar with editing apps, and if anyone has any lighting tips, I would love them! I currently am using a samsung Note 5 for photos, and sunlight has been the best option so far, so maybe I will stick with that! Thank you all so much!

I had never seen a gallery installation come together, and it was impressive. My daughter is a fine arts major and chose pen and ink for her senior show, with Marchen (scholarly term for folktales I think) as her theme. She displayed 12 pieces, illustrating folktales from around the world, and their similarities. So proud of her!

texaslariat @leviya Hi Lorri! Yes, they are pictures of her art. The trees are made of a really thick, heavy paper with a kind of rubbery texture, My husband thinks they are about 12 to 14 feet tall. In the sunshine (I believe) is Beauty comforting the Beast. I will have to ask, I was also wondering. There are 12 pen and ink drawings in the collection, all of different versions fairy tales from cultures around the world. I could not get them all in the one photo, I should post more sometime.

texaslariat @maxiemelt Hi Molly, and thank you. I actually miss my resale closet, but it was becoming more difficult to get out on a regular basis to shop. I don't drive (epilepsy) and I found that I needed about 3 trips per week to feel like I was keeping up with my inventory. My usual driver was less and less available on a regular basis, so I thought I would try boutique. It has been a little less stressful in some ways, but I feel like I am starting over.

maxiemelt @texaslariat I'm so happy my mom moved here we are retired military so for 22 years we just got to visit but, when her mom passed away we both decided that life is to short to just get to visit and talk on the phone. I was able to help her move her as well as help her get her own home. Things here are so expensive but, I'm truly blessed. Please remember that you must take care of yourself for the rest of your family and be at ease that your mother is in no pain and is happy. God Bless

When you follow someone, they frequently follow back, so that is one way. There are also follow games you can play that you will occasionally see in closets. I think my followers really picked up when I became a posh ambassador. Posh ambassadors are given a priority exposure to new posh closets.

I was a little delayed in my shipping but did send it a couple days ago. I had not taken it to the post office, but rather, & as I always do, gave it to my postal carrier when she was delivering in the neighbourhood.

The last time I tried to pick up the day of a delivery notice they told me to wait a day because it was still on the truck and not unloaded. I will let you know how it goes when I check.
