Hi Diana. If possible I would like to return the sandals I just purchased. The straps are kind of yarn like and will stretch out with minimal wear. I could not tell this from the picture. That is why I was trying to find out if they were elastic...Would that be possible for me to return those? I love the sneakers though and they fit perfectly. - Kim

That just made me laugh about the Snowman I needed that LOL I can picture that though my grandson seems to think there are monsters now in his room at night he's turning 6 years old it is so funny my daughter has to check everything with a flashlight so he can go to bed I think it is hilarious these kids are too funny I have three children that are grown and five grandchildren I love those little buggers

Just had to buy I new car, then my “vintage” (old) couch broke. So new furnature for the living room! I tutor so picking up a few more students will help. Love my grands too!

@chesapeakess Excellent, I still have items since I was 5 y/o, it all started w/ a U.S M1942 Bayonet, a field pack, campaign hat and boom ! Now my entire home is a war room, lol incl a 1943 Willy's MB gun jeep and to pour a pad for a 1944 Sherman Tank

My dad was a WWll pilot, he didn’t talk about it much and had severe post traumatic stress. I like to watch documentaries about that era just to try to understand how that time shaped and changed the men and the Country.

@chesapeakess It can be a headache though, the constant maintenance keep's me busy, rust is my enemy ! I installed new seals/weather stripping in the house, so that helps w/ low humidity and dust. My Uncle Woody was ret. USAF and did'n say much either, all 3 wars, always told me he never went overseas, found out he was a C47 crewman on D-Day dropping the 82d Abn. Div. and Vietnam his air base was hit bad.

@chesapeakess I faintly remember my grand dad (dad's dad), a WWl army vet, now that was a tough old man, I have his pic from Camp Beauregard, La. in 1917, it's 45 mins north of here, he was a stable master/saddler. Dad's brother, Uncle Alvin was Army, WWll, a cook saw it all from No. Africa to VJ Day, but they were all farm boys back then, no education just hard work .

@sargebill They were the best! True Patriots that had heart. My dad was in college when he went in. He was a Lt. After he got out he worked for Southern States. Transferred to Maryland and built and ran the one in Upper Marlboro. It’s gone now. Not sure if they are still south or not. He was in late 80’s when he passed. Not a happy man, difficult but so smart.

@chesapeakess Sounds like both of our dad's were about the same way, dad was very quiet, he got me into Local 43 plumbers/ pipefitter's Union and look, that man worked me into the ground, I carried all his tools uphill downhill, mud etc... He had me set for my plumber's license but I wanted the Army, it almost broke his soul when I enlisted, mom went to pieces !

@sargebill Aww they just worried. I understand. I talked my sons out of the service too! My oldest moved to N.C. for a job opportunity. That killed me! But he is doing well. And is happy. But he knows to come home for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have the rest of them near and 3 grandsons.

@chesapeakess Mom was good at worrying, lol but look, the care packages she sent me, wow, I told the mess sgt about em, now Msg. Greene was a great cook, he wrote mom for some recipes, I was at Ft. Bragg, 505 PIR 82d ABN. He told me " now man looks, for a rifleman you gots a momma dat can cook, come see me when you reup for a cook's job" I should have too. I love trading family stories like this, brings back nice memories

@chesapeakess Amazing isn't it ? And look at the college level who don't even know our basic history ! I got into it bad w/ a sgt. about history, he asked me "now what war was as bad as this one ?" I asked him about the horrors of WWl, the 600,000 dead of the civil war, Vietnam and Korea, etc... I was really getting hot, I teach mil history to nat'l guard units setting up my displays of weapons, equipment, uniforms etc and wearing the original uniforms, they just don't get it do they ?

@chesapeakess Now that's the right way for them to appreciate their past, just as you tell your kids, we can't change the past by removing cement statues, what was done was done, we have to move forward (as Gen. Patton always said ), it's the same as a German soldier and an SS trooper, the German soldier was just that a soldier as the American soldier was, but the SS were the mental sadistic nuts.

@chesapeakess Wow 30 lbs ! Sounds like my little dog Chuck, a chi-weenie. Yeah that'll keep you busy, are you using the sheet insulation ? It's a lot easier to cut, shape and install, 4x8 sheets, cut as u need and staple to the shell, good stuff and no mess. Also get a gal. of "Flex Seal paint", that does exactly what it says.Things 'll pick up soon, Holidays coming.

@sargebill You have a chi weenie! Me too! Bella is 10 a product of a sister and brother getting together. She is deaf and partially blind but always has been so normal for her. She is white with a few grey spots and blue eyes. Then I have Bernie the tortoise, Ian the iguana, Eli a bearded dragon, Ella the rat, a German Shepherd, my protector Zeus, and Rufus a papillon. My bulldog passed away a month ago.

@chesapeakess Wow you have your hands full ! Chuck's a dapple color and Bella's his mirror image except she has 2 white tips on her back feet. I had a huge male GSD, Blue Max, he loved riding on my jeep, he sat in my lap and I couldn't change gear, 1st gear all the way home and that's the WWll Willy's Overland gun jeep( got it torn down part for part now, ) Restoring it again down to the original paint I got in Pa.

@thebossmare They are beautiful dogs! I have a collection of pets that needed homes. So far a German Shepherd, papallion, chiweenie, bearded dragon, iguana, Miss Rat, Bernie my sulcata tortoise 🐢 and last night my grandson brought me a box turtle with a cracked shell. If offered I would have one of those too, I seem to be a drop off. Thanks same to you!

I did border collie rescue for many, many years, had over 250 fosters....this is my first non rescue in 20 years....I would have taken a rescue chessie if I could have found one without issues (they tend to have them) and having a young kid can be a bad mix.

@thebossmare Yes little ones and animals can be difficult. I have to watch my grands around them especially the older little dogs. They can be snappy. How many horses do you have? My twins have horses one of them lives on a mini farm. She keeps 3 and a mini she adopted. I have passed the need to have animals and take in strays on to all 4 of my kids.
