slovesmith I can assure you that it didn't smell when it was packed and left my home. Unfortunately, I haven't any control over what happens after I ship. The box was a ventilated box, so it could have absorbed a smell somewhere in transit. I feel bad that this happened, but I know that no smell was present when I dropped it at the post office.
