Try rotating the ring as it only snaps in if properly aligned. I am sorry it won't allow me to continue to comment in the other screen.. But did you glue it shut trying to fix it? I couldn't quite understand your comment, sorry..

I made zero on the sale even if posh pays me... As $8-3 is $5 and the item cost more than that with the packaging and free gift especially so it would be lovely if you were able to pop it back together and use. I sure hope so. I really have no clue how it is even possible, with all the packaging safety... But I am sorry it did. Maybe the usps insurance? I guess we will see what Posh does..

I only sold it because it was too pretty to sit collecting dust, as I don't use make up myself and I already have a compact that's cheap and plastic if I ever should need one so this definitely wasn't sold for profit. The usps got most of the funds and so it's unfortunate if somehow despite extensive safety packaging they somehow damaged it in transit. 😞

The shipping is insured so perhaps Poshmark can help... They take awhile sometimes so please be patient as they may be a day or even two... But hopefully they can help resolve this for you.

@lanladydi It was something I bought for myself about I think 20 years back at a little gift shop in downtown Riverside California in a fancy little shop. They have a lot of tiny mom and pop places there with fascinating items like mini antique stores and vintage item consignment shops.

@lanladydi But instead of ever using it, I actually decided it was too pretty so I put it on a cherrywood display shelf with a collection of knick knacks just displayed and it never was actually used by me. It was vintage when I purchased it and I thought maybe I'd use it at a fancy dinner with my parents or something and I never did end up remembering to use it..

@lanladydi5 It cost quite a bit at that time, but those are pretty nice stores with very unique items and so I figured if I sold it I'd sell cheap since it was just collecting dust and I started thinking how sad that nobody ever really had gotten to use it in over 20 years since it is so unique...

@lanladydi I was just hoping someone might enjoy it because I can't have peopl over anymore like I used to to see my displays anyway since my autoimmune disorder got so bad that I can't work a regular job or have humans over due to germs. I love people my body just can't seem to survive their germs unfortunately anymore. It wasn't as bad when I was younger I was sick from people's germs but never life threatening really now germs can be life threatening to me so I'm rather isolated.

One day I saw that still on a shelf and picked it up and thought how sad nobody will see this because it is so stunning... So I thought if I made it reay affordable on Poshmark then at least it would get to be used finally and appreciated. I'm so terribly sorry that somehow the usps maybe jostled it too much it is at least 20 years old so perhaps the extreme heat in the mail trucks did something to the old glue? No idea but I am sorry and I do hope you are able to fix it. 😢

@crystaltortoise Sorry to hear that. That’s hard. I definitely plan to fix it and enjoy it. I had a cheap plastic mirror in my purse also but when my mom went in the hospital I gave it to her. It got lost and I thought I would try to find another mirror. Yours was very pretty I love butterflies and flowers. Let me write back to posh and just say I am going to fix it.

@lanladydi My grandmother loved butterflies and flowers too so when I saw your name on the order I just thought it must be meant to be. I was very worried about usps because I do know they can be very rough at times and it is pretty old and all mirrors are delicate I know. I just never dreamed they'd still be able to damage it with all the careful packaging, especially without breaking the mirror parts, I am sure that baffled you a lot as well...so strange how that happened in transit...

@crystaltortoise Thanks again! I will definitely let you know how it goes as I certainly plan to use it. I am planning to glue the metal and the mirror with the hope of making them more secure. You just never know what can happen in the mail and I appreciate you going to the trouble to try your best to pack it securely. My guess is it may just have been a combination of the heat with old glue and being bounced around through the mail. I hope to get back to you soon. Diane
