@craftyvettech That is weird. The last name starts with an H as well so I thought maybe you were using a middle name. I had the box shipped to a mail center and he said that a big box was not delivered...I think the Halloween tricks are starting early! Thanks Jen!

@rosemastellone Thank you Rose! The Akita and our Norwegian Forest cat will both be 12 this year. They are incredible. We do have a 2nd cat who we rescued last May, she is 5, had a tough life before we got her and she's giving the older cat a bit of a hard time, but it gets better every day. Our GSD is precious too. @rahannahomar Thank you. 🙂His name is Jake. He's a Norwegian Forest cat according to the vet. Two coworkers rescued him, his mom and siblings right after they were born...12 years ago. They still have his mom and a sister and another coworker has the other sister. He is gorgeous inside and out and I adore him. Be well - I wish you loads of happiness!

Samantha was an E.R. nurse at Cabrini hospital for the longest, now she's admin.,a lot safer and a regular job, she'll be retiring out in a few years, been talking about taking a cruise 🛳, but I want to travel to all the battlefields,oh well, guess the "love boat" may be neat for a change, ill keep my life jacket on and sleep in a life boat,haha.

@kinnies that's awesome, we got booklets for em, I had proposed to Samantha on valentine's day, we're getting married on valentine's day next year. She's full Italian, so I had asked permission from her parents 1st. A traditional thing, 1st time I met her family they had the godfather playing, a joke, it backfired, I got my felt hat, carnation and violin case, made em an offer they couldn't refuse, 2 bottles of red wine.

@sargebill That would be perfect! We spent a week in St Thomas and got married on the beach in the middle of the trip so our wedding was in the middle of our honeymoon! We also visited a couple of nearby islands and just loved everything so much that the day we left to come home we decided we'd go back for our 10th. We decided to do the cruise so we could see new islands in addition to going back to ST.

@kinnies I was sick as a dog one evening, my stomach had me torn up, that woman stayed up all night checking on me, slept in my chair, moved that hevy recliner next to my sofa and never let up, she was exhausted but stayed right with me. Her mom and sister called constantly worried about me, yes, im very much in love with her as she is me.not many like her these days

@kinnies thank you so much, no it doesn't get any better than that, she's a common person, great personality, easy going,very beautiful ,she worked a double shift the night before,so tired ,her middle brother told me to drink some red wine,2 raw eggs and down an oyster, I heard Angela pop him in the head over the phone, lol " he's our future brother you dip stick,you making it worse" Sam got him though, she made him drink that mess and laughed.

I’ve worked with my animals my entire life both personally and professionally, but I’ve not been around Akitas for any extended amount of time. I honestly mainly had a bad experience, so I’d love to hear all about them. 😊💕

@loved4eternity Hi Mandy! It's good to hear from you! In 2007 we got a GSD and looked for a breed that would be able to play with him and foundthe Akita. We gotMika -I fell in love with her instantly. I've loved every dog I've had since I was a year old,she has a special place in my heart;words can't express my love for her. She's stubborn, independent, sweet & w/out a mean bone in her body. When our GSD passed away in 18, she howled every night and did not stop until we got a puppy.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I know the devastating heartbreak you feel must be so painful. I have experienced it. I’m so sorry. I know, there simply must be that special waiting place for them. A friend of mine who communicates with animals (I have witnessed it on multiple occasions) assures me they are not afraid and are, indeed, waiting. @sophiesue516 Thank you! We got the Norwegian Forest cat from the parking lot at work- a coworker rescued his mom and siblings...he's now 12 1/2. We got our gray girl from a rescue last year- she's 6 and gives our boy a bit of a tough time as she had a hard life before we got her and she is jealous, but she is precious and they do sleep next to each other.
