baseball_jen Cute dog!! And you're a Nats fan? That's dope. My life bro was at the WS game when Verlander & Scherzer faced off which is so bizarre & awesome bc of their history in Detroit & bc well, obv my brother is an A's fan and Verlander is our nemesis! We hadn't handed him an actual loss from 2011 until the final series against the Astros in 2019.

baseball_jen That includes him beating us in 4 playoff games - shutting us out in 2 consecutive ALDS game 5's in 12 & 13! The only time this century that the A's have gotten passed the ALDS, sweeping the Twins in '06 - they played DET in the ALCS & were swept. That was the year JV won AL ROY & of course one of those ALCS games vs. Oak! He ended up being a bigger problem than King Felix which I didn't think was possible.

baseball_jen As you are likely aware we get a lot of different players in & out of OAK - it never mattered who was on the team - in those 2 dudes were like kryptonite! thing is that I kinda like both of them - sorta like the late 90s/early00 Yankees teams. Always eliminated us from the postseason but I love Jorge Posada & Bernie Williams. Then of course Mo & Jeter, etc... David Justice even! He's the best dude ever! Straight up made my 38th bday the greatest day ever - flew up to see me. Dream come true.

baseball_jen I've been a fan since he hit the bigs with ATL & Id never been more ecstatic than when he spent his final season leading the A's to 20 consecutive victories...mAgic!I was at every home game of the streAk & the way the movie (which I'm also in as an extra) portrays Game 20 is exactly what it was like being there. 3 straight walk offs for 18, 19, 20? It was impossible to believe...

baseball_jen being there & being up 11 runs by like the end of the 3rd only to find yourself tied at 11 each in the bottom of the 9th - having basically rely on a third straight walk off whether it was then or in extras. It's so crazy that sitting there you're like it can't possibly happen again ...

baseball_jen but I'd already seen a 20k game (Kerry Wood 98) & later saw MLB's 19th Perfect Game (Dallas Braden 2010) - both live so anything can happen at any moment which is a huge part of the reason I'm such a baseball crazy person. So you're a Nats fan? I love DC! Do you live there? Anyway, Im really sorry, like I said once I get started on the game I just don't stop. I'm a crazy person. I know & accept it! I just 💛💚⚾️!!!
