@mazyodc I wish I had you to help me with terathomp. my very first order was from her, I was charged for the express shipping of 7.11$. ordered on 10/25, received 11/13. she offered me a 50% off my next ordered from her like that will ever happen again. I complained 4 emails to posh markabout this express shipping charge and NOTHING HAPPENED. I am very disappointed in posh mark

@dwlorick Poshmark doesn’t give the seller any options for shipping. All are $7.11 unless you offer reduced or free shipping. This is for up to 5 lbs. It’s annoying if you are mailing something under 1lb and you could use first class shipping or if you are shipping media mail which is cheaper. However there are also benefits.

You only have to be concerned if you go over 5 lbs otherwise as a seller you don’t have to worry about accurate weight. Also, for a seller you can use any of the USPS priority boxes which is a real benefit. Once the seller mails the package, she has no control over how long it takes the post office to deliver the package.

@mazyodc than the 7.11$ is bogus! why be charged EXPRESS SHIPPING to offer something you can't control,that's just wrong, because it helps get you a little more profit.

@dwlorick eBay let’s the seller choose First Class Mail for packages under 1 lb and media mail for books, DVDs, etc. Poshmark doesn’t so the seller has no choice, except if they want to offer you a discount and pay the difference themselves from whatever their profit is. Poshmark takes $3 from every sale under $15 and 20% of anything over $15.

So if you’re selling an item for $8 and Poshmark takes $3 that just leaves $5 profit excluding the cost to the seller for the item. Difficult to offer a discount on shipping if you’re only making a small profit. If you bundle items and ship them together the buyer can save on shipping, as long as the weight stays under 5lbs. Let’s say you buy 5 lightweight items you can ship them all for that same $7.11 it’s.

@mazyodc I don't ebay for those reason, add shipping & handling to ooff set % to eBay, posh is the same,really thought it would be different, plus you keeping bring up a 5lb shippments. I ordered a bra, that came in a padded envelop. weight only ounces.

@dwlorick I only bring that up because the shipping charge on Poshmark is the same whether the item or items in a bundle weigh 1 ounce or 5 lbs. I know it is very frustrating to be charged that much for a small, lightweight item but the seller has no control of that since it is the policy set by Poshmark.
