In the midst of my mother on a roller coaster decline, (she'll turn 97 next week, God willing), I am devastated that I lost my 16 year old Balinese, who I had for 13 years and 4 months. He was my rock, glued to me, slept by me, caught every tear I cried, sounds strange to some, but that cat understood me and he talked to me. In all my years, never had an animal that close. I still have the (almost 3 year old) blue eyed white flame point.

twomuchfunalso1 @hollipop2223 Every animal has their own personality and it's so hard to say goodbye. The younger flame point is very lonely now, but with caring for my bedbound mother, I'm in no position to go out and find another Balinese. They're extremely intelligent cats, far beyond what I've ever experienced....and my dear Cocoa was so amicable towards other cats, his loss is so very great. It's best that I just concentrate on my mother at this stage, as she is now sleeping almost 20 hours a day.
