_crownjules_ Good morning Elaine, thank you for the rating but I'm not understanding your message? the sweater is new with tag, never washed or put in the dryer so I'm not sure what you meant, also about the tag being "stiff" maybe you could give more detail so I can help you🕊️-jules

elainepposhfash @estatejules yes , as I said, I think the damage was done before you acquired it. There were 2 pulls to the yarn, and it seems that it was improperly cleaned because the fibers are not soft. The tag is stapled in. Did you get it from a vintage shop?

_crownjules_ @elaineperlov hi, I'm comparing what you're saying to the other identical ones I have(not from a shop or 2nd-handstore) the tag was stapled from the manufacturer and made over 45 years ago, so if it was ever washed the paper would have disintegrated. The wool should soften more after it's 1st wash with fabric softener, not sure how much room Posh gives for comments so I'll wait for your reply:)
