I’m sorry you had an issue with the eye hook on the Madewell dress. It was of no problem for me, so not sure what happened there! Happy to reimburse you if you would like to send it back. ☺️

@anne1222 It’s ok; it’s fixable, just a little annoying that I have to fix it. Did it come with the dress or did you sew it on? It doesn’t have the eye that the hook is supposed to fit into - just a little thread loop.

@elizahecht I was the original owner and never touched the hardware. Perhaps it got loose after dry cleaning it. I didn’t notice, so apologies for that.

@anne1222 actually it was JCrew Mercantile which is different than factory. It’s a beautiful dress that was quite expensive. I’m sorry if it didn’t meet your expectations.

@anne1222 j Crew mercantile is made by j Crew factory. But the hook and eye is loose and the eye is missing. Again, I can fix it, but it’s annoying.

@taxti this absolutely was meant to come with a sash. It has the little thread loops for a sash to go through. The bigger issue isn’t that, though, I don’t really care about that - it’s that it was clearly washed in water.
