belgianconnect Hello Emily! Thank you for your interest! I am a true size 9 and they are a bit to snug for me in the width. It’s hard to judge but I imagine if you are a 8.5, probably 39 would fit but if you edge more to an 8 they might be too big. Also my heel hits the edge because the straps are a bit to narrow for my feet, otherwise they fit my feet. Hope this helps. Ps do you have other cydwoqs to compare ?

gravel_ghost @belgianconnect Thank you for the details! I've never worn cydwoqs. I am a solid 8.5, more narrow than wide-footed but closer to a 9 than an 8. So they might work out. I'm going to think on it a minute.
