Welcome to my closet, my name is Emily.
I am selling items in great condition to raise money for my medical bills & my student loans. For many years I have suffered from chronic pain. In October of 2020 I had surgery, excision of endometriosis & appendectomy.
I have needed PT since 2020 & continue to need pelvic floor physical therapy since my surgery. I am unfortunately needing another surgery for a partial hysterectomy because my symptoms have not fully improved & now suggest adenomyosis, in addition to the endometriosis lesions that were removed in 2020.

Welcome

@maryshanger thank you! I am new so I am not sure how this works exactly. How long does a listing stay up? Can you change prices if something doesn’t sell?

@fendergirl125 hi Emily. You can leave a listing up for as long as you like. You can lower prices, offer certain people discounts who like the item. I usually make the price a little higher then lower prices from there. A good time to put stuff on sale is usually Thursday and Friday which are pay days. The more people you follow the better. And share your stuff at parties. If you have anymore questions just ask 😊💐

@maryshanger thanks so much!

I just found your page. I had excision for endo 1.5 years ago.. it helped so much more than I can even explain! I'll look through your stuff. Best of all to you!!

@ilovegps Hi Meghan! That was so sweet of you to reach out, thank you! I love hearing from others that excision has helped them, it is so encouraging! I can’t believe how long recovery has been but I did have other pain factors post surgery, umbilical hernia, bladder prolapse & pelvic floor dysfunction. I am so grateful for my pelvic floor physical therapist. I really hope I see more progress with my pain but to already have a little progress has been a blessing! 💜🎗

@ilovegps I hope you are doing well & so glad to hear you have had relief from your endo! 💜 How long did it take for you to feel better post excision? Did you use Nancy Nook to find a surgeon? I traveled from Michigan to Ohio to see a Nook recommended surgeon.

@emilysendofunds pelvic floor PT was the final piece to the puzzle for me. I am so thank for my pt, too!! 💛

I felt better coming out of surgery than I did going into it! I had endo everywhere but there were adhesions from my uterus to my abdominal wall making it feel as though I had constant pulling in my pelvic area. I also had it on my bowels and my bladder. So awful. I can't believe you're in MI, too! I saw a Nancy's Nook doctor here in MI but he announced his retirement yesterday. I'd love to hear who you used in Ohio!!

As far as feeling normalish, it was about 3-4 months but I also had a hysterectomy for adenomyosis at the same time, so my situation was a bit different.
emilysendofunds
@ilovegps Wow I can’t believe how terrible that had to be for you! I am so happy you had such relief! I take you saw Dr Hickner? What a small world! I saw Dr. Hickner in June of 2020 & was on his surgery waitlist for months, then he took medical leave unexpectedly.
emilysendofunds
@ilovegps I liked him so much & was so devastated when I knew I couldn’t wait any longer. Dr Pollard at MetroHealth in Cleveland, OH was in network for me & he opened up more surgery spots. He said I was the 5th of Hickner’s patients to reach out at that time.
emilysendofunds
@ilovegps I had endo on my bowel (daily bowel symptoms for years every dr told me it was anxiety) I had it on my cervix & sidewalls too. He said my appendix looked very elongated (but no endo) he likes to remove the appendix when right sided pain is involved (I keep getting right sided cysts but they are just regular cysts that keep coming back with my cycle causing pain) but I think my appendix out definitely added time to my healing.
emilysendofunds
@ilovegps bless your heart! You went through so much! Did he know before surgery you had adeno & would need a hysterectomy?
ilovegps
@emilysendofunds oh my gosh, thank you!! I will look him up. I’m so heartbroken Dr Hickner is retiring. He is not only a skilled surgeon, he is a great person. He gave us his personal cell number after my surgery and when I had complications, called and checked on me personally. I found you on IG (I hope that’s not creepy) and messaged you so we can chat more!
emilysendofunds
@ilovegps awesome! It will be great to chat more! Not creepy at all! That is why I have the same account name. I want to help advocate for others & honestly the endo community on Instagram & Facebook has been such a blessing! I have learned so much & finally learned what was going on with my body & found answers, education & support!💜🎗

You are amazing. So much to learn, especially when so many go thru the pain & agony. I'm glad there's help in medicine with this.
