maximilienne Hi! Thanks for your purchase- I just noticed for the socks and thighs bundle, the pair of grey thighs is a 3/4T while the pink is a 2/3T (which is what the listing said) but they did fit like a 2/3... Let me know if that's ok before I ship!

emmyloohoo317 @stldancewear thank you so much!!! I’m super comfy in size 3.5 x and xxx freed of London and 4 in most grishko shoes since I do use gel inserts because of a past toe injury, so I at least know my correct sizing there, but I so badly want to try Bloch and Russian shoes!

emmyloohoo317 @stldancewear I haven’t! How is the fit? I’m fortunately pretty flexible considering I have a street size 5 foot but I upsize my pointe sizing by about a half since I use wool and gel pads, and I have extremely high arches but I resolve the need for support with stirrup tights and invisible elastics sewn in. I love your shop! Omg I’m so excited. I liked a few of the practical pieces like the posture reminder, and a few pairs of shoes.

From Gaynor Minden site: Gaynor Mindens last 3-6 times longer than traditionally made pointe shoes. The parts that provide support for the dancer, the shank and toe box, are made from advanced flexible polymers. These are modern materials, not the 19th century paste and cardboard construction found in most other brands.

The ones we use are also found in medical devices such as prosthetics, and in a wide range of athletic equipment. Gaynor Mindens have been tested to withstand hundreds of thousands of relevés without any weakening or deformation of the shank or box. They can actually help promote correct alignment.

stldancewear @emmyloohoo317 Shanks are pre-arched for better support and a prettier line. However, the dancer must still work her feet in moving through the demi-pointe position. Gaynor Mindens are lined with genuine Poron® Performance Cushioning. Poron is a cellular urethane foam, found in the best athletic shoes, that can absorb significant impact even when only 1/16” to 1/8” thick — no comparison to cheap latex or EVA foams.

stldancewear @emmyloohoo317 Also unlike other cushions, it does not “bottom out”; it always rebounds to its original state of resilience. We place different densities of Poron in different areas. A light density, 1/16” layer is directly underneath the entire length of your foot for all-around comfort and shock absorption. An additional, medium density cushion is underneath your heel to protect it and to ensure that you never feel the edge of the shank.

stldancewear @emmyloohoo317 Instead of pleats, high density impact (and noise!) reducing materials are underneath the toes, so landing from jumps is as quiet and fluid as possible. Sorry for ALL the info, but I felt it best to send everything. My fit experts often recommend the Gaynors to dancers returning to pointe, because you don't have to go through the break in period. I hope this info helped, and wasn't overwhelming. :)
