lunasveta Erica, Thank you for buying from me Esthemax mask. I just want to let you know, that the mask is safe to use and 100% original. You can find a not on their site about jar seal. The seal in the Hydrojelly lid is designed to compress to keep the powder inside the container during storage and shipping. The seal is not intended to "stick" to the container, though sometimes it does.
