Hi Erin! Thanks so much for the lovely note in my shipment - I'm new to Poshmark, is there a way to direct message you? I have a question.

@aubsies87, you’re welcome! I’m glad to hear it arrived. Unfortunately I’m not aware of a direct-messaging option via Poshmark ...

@erilai Okay, to anyone reading this, this is not a negative comment, just a question. Erin has been a perfect seller to work with! The dress is clearly in great condition. I need a 63" length dress and saw that this dress is listed at 62.5" and thought it would be close enough, but the hem is actually at least 5 inches off the ground. I saw a dry cleaning tag - it's possible the dress shrank at the dry cleaners. That's the only explanation I can think of.

@aubsies87 is the dress still bustled as noted in the description? That could be leading to the disparity in length.

@aubsies87 PS. How tall are you? I am 5’7” and wore 3-4 inch heels.

@erilai 6'0" - but like I said I knew it would be too short. But actually I figured it out. I looked up the listing for the dress from BHDLN where it listed the length and used that as the reference. I thought it was the "hollow to hem" measurement, but it turns out this designer uses the "high point shoulder" to hem (not commonly used) measurement, so that's a difference of about 2 inches on me. I should have done more research before I bought it. Sorry to bother you - thanks for your help!

@@aubsies87 -aha, that makes sense! You are making me remember that when I looked at that sizing chart when I was buying the dress I thought it said HIPS on the length column (not being familiar w the High Point Shoulder acronym) - I remember being very confused! I hope the dress will still work for you. It was TOO long for me without the bustle and 4” heels so hopefully you can make it work by letting out the bustle and wearing a shorter heel (which will prob make it way more comfortable!)

@erilai Thanks for the advice, I let the bustle down and that touches the floor, but the hem on front is 5" off the floor.
