runs__in__heels @txnewsdiva no stretch. - it's a heavy silk-like material. the waist area is about 14" across (lying flat and the bottom flows. my issue was in the bust (dd didn't quite fit). i'm usually a 6 and it was just too tight in the chest to allow for standing and breathing at the same time.
