j9keating @evanmoyer Hi!! I see you work in OR!! Are you a nurse or surg tech!? Im a surg tech and electrical engineer. I was doing both for a while! But had to give up surg tech for a while.😷😞 Miss it!! Left engineering for about 5 yrs to pursue surg tech career. Yeah, Jill of all trades and master of none!! A very special breed that work in the OR!!

j9keating @evanmoyer I trained as a surg tech many moons ago Then being the adventurous spirit i am decided to study engineering. Did that for many years, took a break and scrubbed, did both at the same time, now just engineering. I will definitely go back to the OR at some point!! Do you scrub all cases or have a specialty or preference!? .

maudeflyter @j9keating How neat to do both! I'm a jack of all trades in the OR. I love to do everything and what I haven't done I love to learn. I love everything really but my least favorite is probably vascular. I'm just learning open hearts and eyes. Still have major ears to learn but have done everything else pretty much! What about you?

j9keating @evanmoyer Dont like uro/gyne, eyes (did a couple). love ortho (worked at ortho surg center), didnt do open heart, did ENT - cochlear implants, BAHA implants, acoustic neuromas, other stuff, did some neuro, too.. so cool, always something new to learn!! Very cool to be part of this profession!! Such a mystery to so many people. Ever think...... "I hope i dont have to have that done cuz i know what/how they do that!!" LOL!!

maudeflyter @j9keating I love grossing even co workers out at lunch, lol! Did you like surgery centers? I've only worked at non trauma hospitals because I didn't want to get stuck in a pod. I think the cochlear implants would be cool!
