helenflatmo There is no code. Sorry about giving you the wrong info. on the 1980s production. It's actually older than that, which is more valuable than I originally thought. It predates to the 1970s, which was when the LV purses had no codes. Let me send you some pics. of what the clutch looks like inside. I used it a couple times almost a decade ago. It is just preserved in my closet.
