Hi there! I just came across you post on Facebook about your sales going slowly so far. Hope you don’t mind me giving my suggestions. I’ve been reselling online since the early 90s. Lost far more in the beginning than profited & taught myself all I know now. Poshmark is a very different type of selling platform than the others. Keep at it & it will prove beneficial. In your listings, keywords are imperative! True for selling online period. I’ve got limited space. Brb🥰

The best way to figure it out is to think of one word that you’d use if you were searching for the item. Ex: Coat. I’d definitely include the word coat but maybe you’re looking for a North Face Jacket? I’d highly recommend using exactly that. Including the brand name drives more traffic to your listing then just “coat/jacket”. What if the North Face u want is pink? Definitely add that too. The best way to learn is to experiment

always go to g completed or sold items like the one u want to list. Should really be your 1st step. By doing so, you’ll see other posts with the coat u have. It’ll tell you if other sellers were successful n selling theirs. If so, the price sold for & how many others sold or went w/o selling. You can average the price to let u know if u can sell n that range too. And if none sold or 2 out of 75 sold, do u really want to use precious time & resources at that time?

Buyers w/identical item as your ask crazy hi prices. Please don’t offend by saying hurtful or sarcastic things like “I can buy brand new for less”!! Don’t be antagonistic. Try negotiating instead...for sellers & buyers. Keep n mind that others may have of more than u & cannot afford to compete. At times I get $100 retail items for $1 therefore I can sell much cheaper. Lastly, here you have to constantly list n luv, list n luv! Truly requires far more time than I wanted to invest

The more time u invest now will pay off! U can’t miss a day being active. Follow as many ppl as u can every day. Share at least 1-2 items from others daily. Share your items 1st 2-3 times a day. Morning, noon & 5/7pm. Those times are when ppl have time to shop. Before work, on lunch & the afternoon commute home. I invested in having a company share for me so i could focus on selling

Later found it against the rules. The more wrk put in daily, the faster my items sold, the faster I became an Ambassador & all sorta falls into place. Posh sends more traffic to Ambassadors so the title is well worth earning. Sales become rather steady as long as you remain active daily & Keep adding a variety of inventory. Focus will shift then but that tip is for another time. Lol Clear pics are imperative + describe extensively w/facts. Brand, size, color, for kids/adults etc.

Good grief. I promise this is the last post for now. Google “keywords” & study up. Everything on the Internet is based on keywords. Feel free to contact me if you ever need help. Together will work for a solution. Again, other platforms don’t require as much time. But you have to weigh all factors to decide which one is best for you. Best wishes to my new friend!
