Hi everyone I'm Gayle ! Lots of love, love love and thanks to all the wonderful poshers who are helping me navigate through posh, wouldn't be this far without you! Most of my collection comes from my work as a stylist for musicians and local theater. Some of my most interesting items came from my work on the musical, La Cage au Folle ! torsoart @gaylecoursol you can share to parties if the item matches the party description like, if you have a men’s sweater, you can share it to the Men’s Wear Party. Or is you have a Michael Kota wallet, then share it at the Michael Kors Party. When you share something, it goes to the top of your closet (gets reordered in your closet) so if you like the way you have things set up, share some things to Followers and share some things to a party in line. Does that make sense?

None of us have all the knowledge before last month on the 3rd I had been to posh once in 2015 bought one pair of jeans and never returned I am going to simply say a fool I was !!!! I came back moved all my listings here and have truly fallen in love with the poshers and community based market place... Once we have it figured out they add more and for that I am so very thankful!!!!!

If you want to send a message (instead of just accepting or declining) esp to discuss pricing, I will go under a non-sale listing (my or their Meet the Posher for eg) to message them (so make sure to tag them with @) cont....

nicolescorner (Cont) I try not to discuss price under an item (whether I’m buying or selling) because it gives away the lowest someone will take to the rest of the world.... So this way you can say there would you take $x or explain why you are going to decline (eg I am liking it to save it & find it again). Hope that helps!

nicolescorner @gaylecoursol I’m actually not on Facebook either (we must be the only 2 lol) so it took me a couple of days to figure out tagging but it turns out to be pretty simple. Under any listing you go to Comments which will bring up a blank page, & then type the @ symbol followed directly by their user name so for example I would be @nicolescorner. Often you start typing & it brings up suggestions to auto populate the name. Hope that makes sense!

nicolescorner @gaylecoursol You can definitely share your closet glimpse as many times as you want! (you don’t need to like it since you know where to find). But the biggest impact will come when you share your actual listed items & people will start sharing them for you too!

nicolescorner @gaylecoursol Also when you share your or other’s items, they will show up on the “Feed”. You can find the feed along the bottom headers when you are in your News page. People often share items they see in the feed. Finally sharing moves your item up in people’s searches. So I would say sharing is the most important action on Posh!

Ok so when someone “likes” something it usually means they are possibly interested in buying it & they save it to their likes to come back to it another time (because it’s so hard to re-find items). So all these folks are thinking you could be a potential buyer & are sending you private offers & bundle offers (tb cont).

If you are looking to reshare someone’s closet, you can like their Meet the Posher page or another Not for Sale page (like if they have a nice saying page etc) and that way you can find them again. People like when you share what’s at the top of their closet (tb cont)

I had a feeling that’s what might have been happening when I saw you liked so many of my items lol. People often get very excited about likes and proactively reach out to make private offers. So doing that should alleviate a lot of those kinds of offers!

I actually did the exact same thing as you did at the beginning, except I was “liking” items because I really liked them, even if they were 3 sizes smaller or bigger than me lol 😂. I realized soon that I was sending the wrong message with my likes so just limited it to sharing! Glad we figured that one out, you would have kept getting inundated! 😊👍

I found one of the hardest parts of sharing all the gorgeous & unique closets is not buying up everything I see (and thereby defeating the purpose of selling & emptying my closet) lol. I can’t wait until you start listing! Remember you can start small, listing let’s say 4 items the first couple of days, this way you won’t get overwhelmed! nicolescorner @gaylecoursol Yes it can get a bit overwhelming when you’re trying to share everyone back! And know that it’s ok to sometimes not share all of them back! I definitely don’t keep track of people sharing me back & it’s not why I share in the 1st place, I just love to share. Also instead of sharing back immediately, I try to do it at “down” times, so eg if I’m standing on line at the grocery store or when watching a silly tv show, I’ll sit & do a bunch of shares then (double productivity lol) 😊

nicolescorner Oh my goodness 100 pairs! Lol yes that would be a bit much to list. I’ve never listed or purchased a mystery box but it’s a great idea! You can do it by waist size & say it’ll be at least xx # of pairs. As far as shipping, any additional weight over the 5 lbs is paid by the seller. The chart is in the FAQs 1st article but it’s 6 lbs/ $3.99, 7/$7.98, 8/$11.97, 9/$15.96 and 10/ $19.95. You need to select a “heavier weight” label under

nicolescorner Absolutely, always glad to help! Another idea in the meantime is to make listings of a number of jeans grouped by waist size, nicely fanned out on the floor (from the back, people like to see pockets lol). You can list the various name brands in the description & say they are $xx each. Depending on your inventory, you can group by type/leg (boot cut, flare, skinny). Then you can create an individual listing for the pair someone wants to buy (or see more photos of).

(versus setting up your bundle discount which gives discounts automatically if someone bundles & buys a predetermined # of your items). nicolescorner @gaylecoursol Hi! So I just had an idea when I saw a new follower’s profile thumbnail read Buy 1, Get 1 Free. You can take your profile photo & write 20% off Sale across the photo (w/ Paint or whatever app your Photos offers). That way people see that even as you are sharing their items or your items (ie even if they don’t open your closet). You can still make a separate listing at the top that explains it more (through year end etc) but it’s a great way for people to see it right away!

I have a question for you, when I post a discount to those who "like" an item, I just found out that if a new person "likes" that same item, I can't offer the same discount as before, posh says it needs to be 10% less than the last price or the last discount, but at that rate, the item would soon cost 0, lol, so that can't be right, I am doing something wrong, but can't figure out how to send the new "like" a discount, any suggestions?

nicolescorner @gaylecoursol I did know about the rule of a 10% drop to trigger discounted shipping & that it doesn’t reset itself which is why I rarely did a discounted offer to Likers (because like you said, then you’re too low). I was wondering about “new” likers & but figured you can’t offer it to them without going down another 10%. And just FYI, no discount is given if you drop under $10 in price. I guess then people would just constantly reset their prices up & down. More to come

nicolescorner @gaylecoursol So 2 sem-solutions: It takes effort but I write in a likers profile that I would offer them x price. If they say yes they have to jump on it because all likers will get that notification. The 2nd thing I’ve seen is if someone yes to your written offer, you can make a new listing of the item (cut & paste basically), write HOLD FOR AMY, tag them, make the price really high & drop the price. TBC

nicolescorner @gaylecoursol You’re so right, it’s completely inefficient! One of the senior Poshers says she doesn’t use the Offer to Likers for that very reason. If someone doesn’t have a Meet the Ppsher for comments, you can write under your own or any “Not for Sale” listing in either your or their closet. I use my “Categories” listing for that purpose. It’s also a way for me to go back to check what I promised someone when they inevitably respond a week later lol.

I try to share my closet 1x a day (usually the nighttime party)& then I share items from the live feed while watching the news for eg & that seems to get me pretty good exposure.

When I’m sharing either one, I just go right down the line & share a whole bunch but I don’t open their closets to follow them since that would take time. Just to check, you know you can share by clicking that icon at the bottom of an item, ie you don’t have to open the item (I didn’t realize that at first lol) tbc

nicolescorner @gaylecoursol What I find is that people are so grateful for your shares, they often share you back & follow you too at which point, I follow them back. Another shortcut is to click Followers on top of your page & click all the blue buttons ie people following you that you aren’t following yet. (Let me know if that doesn’t make sense). Yes I don’t even want to think about the hours it has taken lol. My system now is (tbc)

nicolescorner @gaylecoursol ...to try on 2-4 outfits & take my “modeling” photos at one time. Next I photograph those items hanging up or laying them in my couch. Then I write the 4 descriptions. Then I finally post them all together. I found I’m more efficient doing it that way instead of taking one item at a time through the above steps. It’s hard to motivate sometimes though lol. And yes I still also have coats & jackets I have to get up there before they’re out of season!! 😂
