susangill753 The MJ top is brand new, I cannot go that low. As you know Poshmark takes 20percent. I have already came off a big chunk, then came off more and paying $1.80 on shipping. Thanks

gemmileigh @susangill753 that’s totally fine. Just keep in mind whatever you are asking, to add, at least, 10 dollars to it because that is what the buyer will pay with shipping and taxes. Good luck and happy poshing.

susangill753 @gemmileigh so are you saying I should of listed for $54.00 and I would been able to get say $35.00 or $39.00 for it. I am learning. See, I am a person to try to give a good price so you don't go back and forth negotiating. Thanks for ant help you can give me.

gemmileigh @susangill753 it’s really hard, posh says most people shopping are looking for about a 70% discount off of original prices. So by pricing at 70% off you are then most likely to make lots of sales. But like you mentioned you will be making less money per sale. So it’s kind of a toss up between less sales with a greater profit or more sales with less profit.

gemmileigh @susangill753 part 2: I think the biggest issue for me, as a buyer, is buying something sight-unseen. So if I get something for, let’s say, $35 + $10 (for shipping and tax) I am out 45 dollars. If it doesn’t fit my only choice is to “re-posh” it. But in order for me to get my $45 back, I would have to sell it for $54 (which means expecting someone to pay $64 for it).

gemmileigh @susangill753 part 3: It’s hard and confusing and for me, personally, I am always thinking numbers because as a frequent buyer I have lost a lot of money on items that don’t fit or just don’t look great on me. I think the exception to the 70% off rule is NWT (without tags people fib) and items that are super rare or in high demand. I hope that helps a little. And of course, I am only speaking from my experience.

colleenasmith68 So sorry about the snags. I bought this off eBay in EUC and only tried it on. I did not like how it looked on me , the way the sleeves fell. I never even wore it and you bought it the next day. I never saw the snags at all. Sorry for the disappointment in all my years on posh I have never gotten such a low rating. I have always prided myself on the quality of what I sell and low prices. I wish you had reached out to me. Have a great day! C
