Am fine with returning the ring as I said in the post it was a gift and I believed what the friend and local jeweler 12 years ago told me... this was my mistake but I never want to mislead anyone here so
Anytime a fellow posher is not satisfied I want to correct it .. in future will authenticate the pieces that am not certain about ... my current listings were bought by me .

@milena123456 sure do! Here's a few ways to tell. Aquas are softer than topaz's so there might or will be wear on the stone. Aquas are usually slightly included so you will see "things" inside the stone that look like lines, very tiny comets, or "finger print" inclusions. Aquas have a very slight green tinge. If you turn the stone slightly to the side, a see a very faint green chances are it's aqua.

@milena123456 also, the way light reflects off of a topaz is different than aqua. With topaz, it will look as though the light is "sitting" at the bottom and aqua does slightly the same but shines a bit brighter. Some jewelers will have a Presidium Gem tester and the can test for free. Hope this helps!
