I am not used to using this app coming from eBay so what would you recommend if someone made me an offer of $20 for a dress that I was asking $35 for and she’s unwilling to except any of my counter offers? She wouldn’t except 25 and she wouldn’t accept 23. I’m just not sure if I should settle for $20

chamboutique18 @style_by_gigi You have two options. You can either decline the offer or you can make a counter offer. 😊 I would suggest to make a counter offer because then you might make a sale

zahrastyle @style_by_gigi Hi! This is a tricky position because you don't want to accept the low ball offer but you also don't want the item to sit in your closet forever! Personally, I would consider the cost of the item and see if $20 brings in an amount of profit that you're ok with! If so, accept the offer and if not then don't. I hope this helps! lifeurway @style_by_gigi BTW, there’s this “30 minute method” tool that seems to be pretty helpful. It’s a daily kind of “to do” to help boost sales on Posh & it only takes 30 minutes (in theory🙄 it takes me about an hour). Lindey Glenn has a short YouTube video about it. style_by_gigi @lifeurway Thank you so much, but this platform is a bit of a turn-off for me. Though I sold 2 dresses, I am not someone to hang out on social media, nor am I looking to fill my own closet. I simply want to sell a few cool things that other people might like but it seems like Poshmark is mainly a sellers market, not a buyers market, making the selling process difficult and a bit desperate.

leilaniaragon It's amazing how often that happens to me, too! What I've been doing lately is to give them an offer. You are allowed to do that without even having to offer discounted shipping! There is an offer button on the bottom right . I've heard other sellers will add a similar item to the bundle and then make an offer but it's more involving. I think you have to share directly to the potential buyer. I hope these tips help and thanks for asking

I have been listing more than ever before and as fast as I can but my sales have slowed way down. Other sellers have mentioned flash sales but I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet. I'm too stubborn to give up, though. I hope things work out for you

leilaniaragon I made faster sales when I first started selling between mid-october through early November. I hear people are just focused on vacationing right now. Hopefully sales will pick up. It may be a good idea to focus on back to school supplies like journals or notebooks or backpacks or laptop cases. Or so I hear from Poshmark in regards to their Home Goods Market. We'll see. That market is still new.

leilaniaragon Has sales been picking up for you, my friend? I think the summer slowdown is now ending. Also many YouTube videos say that you must share your closet at least three to five times a day. They claim that's how they make daily sales. I've been doing that and sales seem to be picking up.

leilaniaragon Hi, I normally share my closet as soon as I wake up with my followers. It doesn't matter if you don't have very many followers--sharing is the same as updating and your item is bumped up to the top of people's search results.

leilaniaragon I understand your frustration. Out of 120 sales only 105 reviews were given. When someone doesn't give a rating I immediately worried that they did not like their item! But I think a lot of buyers don't think like sellers. They just get on Poshmark to make their purchase and then don't use that much after that. I once waited three weeks for someone to give me a five star rating after they received their package! I am surprised how many people do not leave a love note.

I just had a horrible fiasco with an order for a Betsey Johnson skirt that I wanted really badly because I owned the original one back in 2008 when my luggage was stolen. Long story short, she said it was in great condition but when I got it there were stains all over the undergarments! Of course I got refunded, but I really wanted that skirt🙁😡😝

leilaniaragon Tops have been very slow. I'm experimenting with selling oversized sweaters because it has done well for others. I've also found a Lululemon tank top that ties on the bottom at a yard sale and I thought it would sell slowly because I heard Lululemon tanks are not doing as well. It sold within a day! Keep experimenting with what works for you.

leilaniaragon @style_by_gigi oh, yeah. If sellers don't disclose the flaws it could scare buyers away from Poshmark permanently. It's tedious and time-consuming but I thoroughly check outside and inside garments before selling them because I want Happy customers!
