@gcolborne Pearls, huh? I have a very old flapper strand 126 cm. (49.5 in.) long from the 1920's, pearls are .6 cm. diameter so just under 1/4 inch. They are champagne coloured and all the same size, with a skinny box compression clasp. I don't know if there is a way to send you a photo but if interested let me know and I can make a listing sooner than later.

@randeals Hahaha :) Oh gosh, I am brand new on the poshmark scene so I don't know how much help I'll be BUT I believe you have to send me the discounted offer and then that way the discounted shipping happens. I'm not sure why this is but the last shipping sale, if it was ME to make an offer, I would get a little note pop-up that said "you'll lose your shipping discount if your offer is accepted". I have absolutely no idea why. Heehee, we'll just see how it goes?

@gcolborne When I put in the 20% off it says that I have to provide the shipping discount....I thought the deal was that poshmark was footing the bill? I will send you the offer for $75 and hopefully you will get the free shipping afterall. If not, we could try discounting each item by 10% so it is supposedly free shipping but then you don't get the extra 10% off. I don't know if they deliberately make it so confusing but the customer service also is not very helpful especially for non-tech

Hey there Pen Pal :) It's funny the two non-techies are trying to figure this out! I tried to accept the offer and it still adds the regular shipping so it comes out substantially higher than I originally set out to spend :( I also thought that Poshmark covered the discount - not passed it onto the sellers... that's a bit rude of them. YOU let ME know how you'd like to proceed - if a steeper discount works OR shipping discount OR if I'm asking too much!

Make a counter offer and I will choose $75 and the $9.95 (or somewhere around that price?) shipping and see if that helps?
They are not only rude, but they won't explain things properly either....I have given up contacting customer service. I can't really give a 30% discount as PM also take high fees as well as charging too much postage. I have another idea but it is risky:

Hi Randi! I sent an offer for $70 - I have no idea if that works for you? It's with the regular shipping... If it's better for you to offer 75 and 9.95 shipping that works for me too. My goodness - I am very glad that I'm just shopping on Poshmark... selling looks very complicated! Maybe someday I will get the confidence - hahaha! At least we're going through the learning process at the same time (it's less embarrassing for me!)

I did 75 again but this time there was no option for a shipping discount! Maybe it ended 5 minutes ago which would have been midnight eastern time, i.e. end of the day? The other option of 80 with K includes postage...let me know if I should post it. Now this is embarrassing: I have been selling for 2 years I think, and only recently learned how to send these messages!

@gcolborne Apparently "make an offer" items don't qualify for shipping discounts. So what if I raise the price of the pearls to 75 and you buy them.... anything 75 or over gets cheap shipping. And I'll include 2 free gifts in the package (earrings and bracelet)? This has to be done within next half hour if I'm reading it correctly + you might also have to say you "like" the pearls. I'll do the pearl adjustment now and we can try to pull off this little scheme (it's like being a spy!)
