@dedesthings beautiful hair! Cute bird, Gina! One of my friends lost her parakeet Bibi when her cousins didn’t know while she was on vacay not to leave the birds overheated in their car:( but thankfully she was gifted a new one! What kinda bird do you have? Used to be very afraid of birds so I’m learning more bird names and types! Love my bird song book! Think I’ll take up bird watching eventually! Sound peaceful but stressful at the same time… happy summer!

@liledeglace I have a love affair with all birds! Mostly watching and feeding the outdoor birds.Have a lot of Orioles, Cardinals, and Downy Woodpeckers right now.Throw in the squirrels and I can entertain myself looking out the window!! That is so sad about your friends bird...they are very sensitive! Thanks for your note! Love connecting with new friends! gina

@ghill36 she was furious with them for buying a bibi lookalike and trying to trick her so she had to accept the replacement but it’s a little stressful visiting her given her parents preferred language and when the birds are healthy, they do peck or poop and chirp if they love you! It initially hurt a lot but we had to get used to it!

My younger cousin owned two parakeets before my aunt-in-law died prematurely of skin cancer:( she’s been thinking about owning a farm with her fiancé but they argue lots too and she lost some money for insisting on a prenup:( while im praying things work out in their favor, if they don’t, I’d love to connect you two so that yous could potentially collaborate on organizing an aviary!

I love wildlife and animals too! Going vegan has been quite impossible though because food is so accessible to us and the cheaper foods are generally the more unhealthy ones:(

Lots going on in your world. it is hard to eat healthy with all the $1 menus at the fast food places. Going vegan would absolutely be difficult !! Eat as healthy as you can and stay positive!

@ghill36 I will try! My mother went to culinary school for 2 years before deciding to move here but she and multiple nutritionists have advised against veganism! They never say it’s impossible, just that sometimes pizza and fries can be vegetarian but unhealthy and it’s not the most practical diet for sure and extra shots are recommended of vitamin b12, but I’m trying to be flexible about it as my siblings and I all love to cook foods from different cultures and bond over our food.

my brother recently passed a French cooking class with flying colors! Are you a painter? I love your self-portrait, but I know of lots of digital apps that can turn a photograph into a still or more impressionistic like a monet painting! We were originally doing it for religious and ethical reasons but have suffered a fair amount of discrimination as a result:( much easier now though as I see many more vegan places open up! Yay to the earth and long live our beautiful planet 🌎🌱
