Hi! I'm Hana. I am raising my three kids in the beautiful state of Wyoming and also work part time for the Developmental Disability waiver. I've always enjoyed shopping and my personal style tends to be pretty casual/functional for mom life. I tend towards neutral colors but love exciting colors and fashion on others. My size/style has fluctuated with life changes so it's time to clean out my closet. I hope you enjoy what no longer serves me/my family and any other random finds I think may serve others!

Hi!! Thanks for the follow!
I’m a mama of four-year-old triplets and one of them has Down syndrome. I’m absolutely, madly in love with people who have DS! We are so blessed to have been chosen to be their mama’s!! I also work with several disability non-profits in our area! I found what God planned for me to do with my life through the disability community! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

@knoepsn oh my gosh this makes me SO happy! My middle daughter has Down syndrome! She is so wonderful. Sassy and sweet little fireball. Thanks for following back! Let me know if you have any questions about anything. Always glad to “meet” another DS momma and advocate!

@hanahandsdown Absolutely and the same for you? I tell people all the time, having a child with a disability is not the hard part… they’re easy. Navigating all the government red tape, just to get things they need, that was created for them, is the hard part.

@hanahandsdown It’s heartbreaking. I’ve become a passionate SD advocate since my triplets were born. I get absolute, pure joy, knowing I’m fighting for not only my child, but all the incredible people who have Down syndrome!!

@hanahandsdown How old is your daughter? And isn’t it the most incredible thing to see how our DS kiddos have such an incredible impact on our typical kiddos?!!!! I love meeting siblings. You can always tell how their siblings pure heart has rubbed off onto them.

@knoepsn she is two and a half! Sandwiched in the middle of my other two and I love to see it! She is adored by her big brother and just such a great big sister. We are all better for having her around. Figuring out the government systems and trying to make people and policies see our kiddos worth is definitely the hardest part. I’ve also always said she isn’t who I worry about, it’s how other people treat her and welcome (or don’t welcome her) that concerns me.

@hanahandsdown Yeah, that’s absolutely the actual challenge of having a child with DS. We haven’t really experienced that yet (they’re almost 5) but he has to be “evaluated” for everything, when my other two don’t. AND IEP’s… ugh ours has been a positive experience so far, but not true for most people. I’m in Louisiana… it’s not a “disability friendly” state. (not a southern thing, other Southern states are incredible places to live with a child with disability, but not LA).

@hanahandsdown downwithcoldonandhiskrewe if you want to follow me. I’ve connected with DS families all over the country and I’m an NDSS ambassador. I’m not as active as I was… Covid put a huge block on my motivation, but I’m still connected with hundreds of families and I definitely look forward to meeting, helping and learning from new families! Sorry for the book… I could talk DS for days! We truly are the #luckyfew 🥰

@knoepsn I’m finding you! And I’ve heard nothing good about services in Louisiana. Im glad you have had a positive experience so far though!

@hanahandsdown I have had to fight hard for my son… let’s just say the state and several media outlets in New Orleans know who I am!! I’m also blessed with some of the greatest mentors. The school system has been a very positive experience, so far, but I’ve been very involved in the entire process. They know I’m watching them like a hawk and they know I know the laws and what is required of them!

@hanahandsdown Acceptance isn’t really an issue for us, but getting him the services he needs and are legally entitled to him or an extremely frustrating, ongoing process.
