lookingslick Hey there... you might be related to me actually., or rather your husband if he's a Barnes? I was adopted but very recently found out my birth family's names and my grandfather was Frazier Barnes and he was born in Alabama. His parents were Vincie Harrell and Anthony Barnes. I'm on Ancestry.com and have linked up with a Neil Barnes, distant cousin and it seems the Barnes side of the family is pretty fragmented so you won't likely be able to tell me, but just thought I'd say! :)

barnes1215 @lookingslick That would be neat. my husband is a Barnes. I'm not sure about those names. I'll have to ask and see. his family is pretty big. Many of them are from Dale or Coffee county, but are spread out now.

lookingslick I just sent a message to Neil Barnes on Ancestry and asked about those places you mentioned. He still hasn't been able to find out even how he and I are related but we def are because of the DNA testing. Will be interesting if he knows anyone in those places! May take awhile for him to reply, I'll let you know what he says.
