I have a son and though I’m a complete stranger I hope you can feel the love and support I’m sending your way. I witnessed my parents experience the same loss when my brother was killed at 19. It gets better.

sophiehawk @mcbendit I’m sorry for the loss of your brother. Im sure your parents never recover. I lost my beloved son, David 3 yrs ago last Sunday in a car accident on his way to work. No, it doesn’t get better. I’m moving from Texas to Indiana, maybe a fresh start will help.

sophiehawk @mcbendit oh yes, 13 months after he earned his wings and it was so vivid I woke up and still could feel his hug and scent. It has helped me get thru the days until I see him again. Thank you so much for asking. I miss him so much more.

mcbendit @emme88888 Hey I just saw your comment thank you so much! The compliment to you was well-deserved. So, here’s what worked for me: Started with Jenny Craig for 3 wks just to get the format. Then, lean cuisine. Much cheaper! Apparently calorie-counting works for me, 1200/day for loss, 1500 for maintenance.

mcbendit @emme88888 Other stuff that helped: My husband did it with me. I weigh myself every morning, religiously. I log my weight, food and exercise in MyFitnessPal. I stay within my calorie count. Sometimes I drink my calories, vodka is about 60 cal/shot. A girl’s gotta live. I cut out sugar. Pickles and diet jello are lifesavers. Once or twice a month, I just ate. It actually seemed to help. Hope this was helpful.

mcbendit @carlahoney hi thanks so much! See my notes above. Also want to add that I walk, a lot. I try to do 12k steps a day, 5 mi walks at least 4x a week. That totally changed my body. You can do this!

emme88888 @mcbendit aww you’re so awesome 🤗💕 Yeah I can’t have sugar and cut carbs with my hubby🥐😭 we have one cheat meal on Sunday during the day. I’ve always been a runner, but I have to walk too now. My dad got me an epic running stroller from REI so I can’t wait for it to get warm and use it more🎉 My Dads a runner too. 70 years old and runs 6 miles everyday, 11 every Saturday 😧♥️ He says he owes his health to being vegan♥️Thank you for all the tips! ontheharbour @mcbendit (As continued from above) supervised by a doctor in a hospital weight loss clinic because it's so lo-cal. Mine shut down when COVID started, and I lost my access to shakes. So I bought the rest from a reputable eBay seller, which is firmly frowned upon by the medical community. However, I took a chance and it worked out for me! But I don't want to send anyone astray.
