Hey! Thanks for purchasing the Patagonia jacket. Apologies that it wasn't what you thought it was going to be. I think what you think is discoloration is from the down feathers inside. The white coat has some see through nature to it a bit. So, you see the down feathers that gives it a unique texture. I was confused when I got it. Sorry about the marker. I did not see that. Hope it all works out. Christopher
