@girlnextdoor All of my seaglass was found at SoCal beaches. I’ve found most of it at Ventura beaches, with some great finds in Malibu and Santa Barbara too. Heading to Orange County soon to hunt near Laguna and San Clemente.

The tumbled glass they sell in craft stores as “seaglass” just isn’t the same, plus it costs A FORTUNE! $8.99 for a 5” stand of glass! PULLLEEEEEEZ!

@pacbluseaglass Aren’t you sweet. A year ago, I finally got my but in gear and made my store. I started teaching myself jewelry from books about ten years ago when I got divorced. In one year, my business has grown considerably. I can even call it “a business” now, but I remember feeling discouraged.

@pacbluseaglass I reached out to another seller for advice two months in, just not seeing much in terms of sales . I kept sharing, growing my numbers and made many (some significant) changes and now only work part time at my other job.

@jkdesigns Congratulations on your success! What an encouraging story you have. I need to step it up and dedicate more time to this business and figure out the best channels for sales. I’ve had limited success with Etsy, Instagram and Poshmark. Zero with eBay. I need to post more to Instagram to funnel prospects to my Etsy, for sure. I like to see the immediate response I get on Instagram. You should jump onto Instagram if you’re not there already. I’ve also been messing around with Pinterest.

@pacbluseaglass Secret tip....I asked myself what makes me notice another seller? I barely notice those who share just one of my items, but someone that shares a half dozen? I make an effort for that person and share a half dozen of their listing to return the favor. If it works both ways, that seller has looked a 6 of my listings! Hopefully, something catches her eye by then.

@pacbluseaglass Another...I go to “Find People” and share a half dozen listings from the list of Posh Ambassadors there. It’s a big list of sellers/buyers that have savvy all in one place and it touches a population spread out all over the country, not just one seller’s followers.

@aprilez1 Just saw your note. Thank you! We are not finding as much seaglass as we did a few years ago either. Just today we went out for a couple of hours and only came back with ten pieces. Last week we found 100 in a couple of hours. The weather here is still nice, so it’s a treat just to walk on the beach. It sounds like you have quite a collection. I love the idea of using it in the lamp base. Thanks again- I’ll be adding some more pieces soon! 😊
