I'm retired also but caregiver for my mom. so it actually seems as though I'm not retired at all...just Tired! and my daughter also had an umbrella cockatoo. Some things in common besides beads! I was still working, so we had a wonderful woman from an agency who spent days with her. She and my mother became great friends. She would cook all kinds of southern dishes for my mother, who thoroughly enjoyed them. LOL!

4_good_stuff @jamaicared64 And an umbrella cockatoo! Casper is quite a character. She is a girl, loves to talk, and screams loudly when she has not received her due in attention. We added two parakeets last December when friends moved away. They were concerned about taking the birds. We play music for them all from time to wake up to bed time. iTunes playlist. Sounds like your daughter lost hers. 😢

4_good_stuff @jamaicared64 Yes, but hubby was a great help. I never learned to cook southern, but my mother liked all of it. I don’t think she cooked it, either, because it was something she would get out when she could. I’m from a German area, so it was not common there. jamaicared64 Yes, he was fine, did vet checkups, then be was gone. Vet couldn't believe he died, so he actually did a free autopsy a d found d out he had a whole in his heart. she only had him for maybe 3 or 4 years. someone left him to a pet store and she fell in love with him. He was loud to. we think he came from an awful home. When he talked it was almost like a horrible argument.

4_good_stuff @jamaicared64 awww. I am so sorry to hear about Casper. What a shame! I am glad he had a good few years and knew he was loved. Umbrellas are loud. Ours is funny - sometimes, hubby will say “shut up” when she is really screaming. So, she now screams, then says “shut up” in hubby’s voice.

4_good_stuff @jamaicared64 Sharon, oh my! We made the national news. Yes, hubby mentioned this morning that we have had over 2,000 new cases in the past couple days. We were just tested. A colleague in hubby’s office diagnosed positive earlier this week. The company disinfects the office regularly, disinfected again on Tuesday, closed the office for two days, & said all employees had to test negative before coming back to work. We are both negative.
