Haha, well blissfully happy isn't a bad thing, but I am sure you feel physically better now! 6 years ago when I lost 40lbs, my confidence and athletic ability skyrocketed

Thank you! It's crazy how weight gain happens in the first place, ya know? It seems to creep up on you, but then it takes a lot of work to loose it 😬 but I wouldn't change anything

Easy to gain, so hard to lose!!I really enjoy working up a sweat with my workouts so I know running isn’t fun, but it’s my favorite exercise as long as I’ve got some good music to Motivate me.also enjoy Zumba type workouts. & I have quite a few of Jillian Michaels DVDs-her workouts are great.&my final favorite fun exercise is spinning! it!

@avacado_toast But nothing beats dancing! I’d love to try ballroom dancing, if only my husband would go for it. I picture myself in one of those sparkly ball gowns doing the Rumba(I obviously watch too many ballroom dancing competitions 😂).

Actually, it was the main exercise I used to lose weight and it motivated me to be faster! I wanted to do zumba for the longest time, but just never signed up and I am trying to talk my mom into trying out a spin class with me but don't know if that will ever happen. We'll see!

I am by no means an expert at selling since I just started in April but I have seen that by sharing my entire closet multiple times a day or at least a good number of items from my closet does help. Also, take a look at comps (comparable selling price) for the items in your closet and see if you’re selling prices are realistic.

@erini90 You may want to try listing items every day. I’m trying to list 2-3 items a day with a future goal of 5+ but it’s hard because I work full time and the only time I have for taking photos is the weekend.

@erini90 I try to take photos and jot down descriptions of 15-20 pieces every weekend so that I can list items every day. Check out videos on YouTube on selling strategies and see if any of those tips help. I watch videos constantly and learn new things all the time. Some work for me, some don’t.

@erini90 I find that the better your photos are, the more attractive they’ll be to your seller so maybe invest in a mannequin/dress form. This will really showcase your clothes. It doesn’t have to be new or expensive. I found mine thru FB marketplace - used in great condition (got 2 for $50).

@erini90 and lastly but very important, share others closets...this platform is very social so you need to be engaged in sharing closets and welcoming new Poshers. Unfortunately I can't afford a form but I notice that a lot of successful sellers Model the clothes and buyers ask them to model so I will probably ask my sister

I think that I need to share my listings more often like you mentioned. I have much better luck on eBay I've been selling for years but it seems Posh is idk how to say it more exclusive. eBay doesn't have sharing following etc. but thanks so much for everything and lots of hearts your way. I started selling in April but I’m so mad at myself because In the last 3-5 year’s I’ve donated probably thousands of expensive items (most new with tags!!) to different charities and I could’ve kept some to sell on here. But I wasn’t really aware of Poshmark at the time. In the end, I feel good because through my donations, I was helping the leas fortunate so I guess it wasn’t a loss after all.

@avacado_toast I’m still trying to figure this selling thing out but I joined in April and I was pleased that I’d gotten to making sales every week consistently until I became an Ambassador. I made maybe 1-2 sales since. 😩😩😩.

I always set out with the best of ideas & intentions for my photos, but they never quite come out as expected. Are you taking your photos with a camera or phone?

@shoegirl4140 thank you so much for your kind words!!!! I take my photos with my iPhone in bright daylight. I have been sooo busy partly that I've neglected my closet but hope to get back to it soon. I am primary caregiver for 2 elderly parents (69 yr old Mom and 92 yr old Dad) with dementia so I no longer have a lot of free time. It lifted my spirits to read your comment ☺️☺️

@elvisdiva02 Thank you for your reply! I just wanted to quickly mention ... I was saddened to hear about your parents, I just lived through that myself. My father passed away in May, he was 86. His issues began with COPD, but the dementia set in & he declined quickly.

I've joined a caregiver support group and it's been so helpful. It's good to know I'm not alone in this....you've been through it and I know I can get through it.

@shoegirl4140 Your question about the iPhone is certainly not stupid. It's a welcome distraction for me during these hectic days. I don't have a specific setting. I try to make sure I take photos on very bright days and let a lot of natural light come in through the windows. You can brighten up your photos a bit with the camera "edit" settings but it may change the true color of the clothes so be cautious with that.
