Alexis loved Jackie Kennedy and named and fashioned Grey Gardens line over her aunts in upstate . New York. The aunt and her daughter were secludes, who, though very well off at one time, lived in the squalor and vermin infested grand old estate named Grey Gardens, which saw fabulous parties with elegance in the past. Jewelry at that time was very ornate, and somewhat Arte Deco in style. You might google Grey Gardens, there was a movie made about them! Very interesting.
