emeryelkin @rowallday I do not have a photo of the hole in the tongue and unfortunately I am not home to provide one for you. They are smaller than a paper hole-punch and completely out of sight. Is there anything in particular you want to know about that? The hole is standard practice for factory seconds.

emeryelkin @rowallday Correct - they are still up to the standards of Red Wing construction, but they may have missed the mark due to an inconsistency in the color or shape of the leather. Even with the factory seconds designation, the footwear is still outstanding — in many cases, you probably won't even know why they're a second anyway. in this case, there is a very minimal cosmetic blemish which you can expect will blend in as the boot wears in.
