ajkjmama @mysuzis thank you! The pictures were taken at Blue Springs State Park in Orange City, not far from you. Best time is December/January when we have a cold front. There were over 650 in the spring that day. It was amazing! Not going to lie, it’s a bit terrifying when a 1,000 pound creature is 2 inches below you. And if you’ve never tried kayaking, Florida is amazing for it and I highly recommend at least trying it. It’s the most peaceful and calming thing that I’ve ever done for myself.

ajkjmama @avi_ator me too! This guy was very curious that day and spent about 25min with us. He even flipped upside down under our kayak, put his fin on either side and “hugged” it. Blue Spring in Orange City is a great place to see them in the winter. There were over 600 of them in this spring that day.
