acf0303 Hi Jan, I’m not a Chanel expert by any stretch....just a rabid fan and hardcore Googler. I’m just putting some clues together and guessing that the piece shown is not authentic....starting with the fact that she has avoided using the word and has gone silent. That plus the limited pics, the non-Chanel receipt and the overall look of the piece is telling me that it is likely a replica. Hope that helps! Cathy

acf0303 Ok, is it the one that sold for $380? A couple of things....I think that if you take it to be authenticated within a certain timeframe, you can return for your $$ if it is not. That said, look at the Chanel stamp....it should have Chanel with a copyright mark before the Chanel and a registered trademark symbol after. Depending on Year, it will also have a letter indicating the season Spring or fall (French). The seller did say authentic, so you have grounds to contest it.

acf0303 @janweddle Found it! So I cannot read the stamp exactly, but it looks right. It’s has the copyright and registered TM signs. I can see it has the letter to indicate collection. I cannot clearly see the two digits, but those should represent the last two digits of the year OR the collection number. I would not think it was a fake. Whoever is telling you it is must be an expert....or he/she is wrong. I would wait to see in person.

acf0303 @janweddle You are being too hard on yourself and I would not assume the worst just yet. I think you could have a valid reason to get a refund as she did use the word authentic. That said, I would have someone look at the necklace for you...before you make any conclusions. It may be authentic. And you may decide you don’t care because it looks great and no one the wiser.

My husband opened it and says it is beautiful and looks very expensive. And you know what, it may be a fake (a very good one) because the price was low. But then again, it may also have been a great deal. I have decided to be happy 😊 You do the best you can on these sites...most people are honest.

acf0303 So, looking at other things she sold....three other Chanel necklaces (two the same)...it adds to my feeling that it’s not authentic. Chances are she will be hesitant to put anything in writing for all (or any) to see because Poshmark does not allow replicas. you might try throwing it into a bundle and then leaving a private comment.
