janet4missions @kennethpetro Thank you for your feedback. It’s these comments that remind me why I do the reselling. The orphanage is operated by friends of mine. Donations may be made through Faith Baptist Mission, Winter Haven. Their website is faithbaptistmission.org. For security reasons you won’t see the name posted on the site. You may call or email them regarding giving. I’m fortunate to visit them 2-3 times a year. The needs are great, but God always provides. Thank you again! Janet🌴💜🌴

liledeglace hi Janet! Thank you for your generousity towards the orphanage in Indonesia. You also have a blue ribbon that donates to the cure for pancreatic cancer. I have friends and family who were possibly taken by this disease as well as liver cancer. Will any of your earnings be going towards that?

liledeglace I know of a doctor and pancreatic cancer team in my city. You don't have to give to their research and you may very well be donating to a better oncologist who sees those cancers specifically, which is why I'm interested in your "celebration sale". Thanks for your clarifications on the percentage of donations and what nonprofits they ate going towards.

janet4missions @liledeglace Good Morning! Thank you for your interest. My mother passed from pancreatic cancer and her younger sister is currently a survivor of pancreatic cancer. I currently give and support through Pancreatic Action Network. I do that separately outside of Poshmark. With my earnings from Poshmark I donate to the orphanage in Indonesia and then also used some earnings to allow me to travel and visit them 2 times a year if possible. It doesn’t cover all the costs but certainly helps.

As long as you you are contributing some funds to pancreatic cancer as well, I am more likely to shop your closet. I did research for breast and ovarian cancer for 3+ years, which have luckily increased awareness on this issue, thanks to Angelina Jolie.

liledeglace Unfortunately, prostate and pancreatic and liver cancer are more of the silent cancers and people do not know until it's too late. The prognosis for needing to get a whipple surgery is poor. I also have an aunt by marriage who died from metastatic skin cancer. 90-100% of cancer is environmental. I just wanted to make sure we have all our different cancer charities checked so we are not cross-giving to certain cancers only.

janet4missions @liledeglace I totally agree. I am screened annually as is my mother’s other sister. It was a shock when she diagnosed as well but her age, size, and location were on her side. She and her company support a different Pancreatic research organization. More research is needed on them all. Thanks again. It’s great to get to know others supporting great causes!
